“The buyer” is the one who shops in the online store.

Prices and delivery cost

All prices are stated in Norwegian krone (NOK) and include local tax. The goods are always sent with the Posten Norge package and follow their current rates, which are updated annually. The price for postage will be automatically generated at check-out.

Delivery time & shipping policy

Shipping is provided by Posten both in Norway and Internationally.

All products marked as “in stock” will ship within 5 working days of purchase. Custom pieces take up between  1-12 weeks to complete if not agreed separately. Prices in workshops are explained on the product site and if not stated differently – don’t include materials. Online courses are available to use as it is described on the product’s site. 

Please contact your local post office if you experience any delays. For international buyers shipping can take up to 8 weeks. Customs office may open or hold your package without notice. There is nothing Plants on People do about this as it wholly depends on how your customs office works.

Expedited shipping, if requested by Buyer, will be calculated on an individual basis – please contact us before placing an order.

You will receive an email from us containing the tracking number as soon as we have sent your package. You can use this tracking number at Helthjem or Norway Post.

For orders to be picked up in our Atelier, valid identification must be brought along with the order number.

Payment

We accept card payment and Paypal , which of course meets strict security requirements. We also accept VIPPS for personal pick-up in Oslo. 

Customs and import taxes

Buyers are responsible for any customs and import taxes that may apply in the country of shipping. Plants on People will not be responsible for delays due to customs.

Care instructions

All the individual information is on the tag added to the shipped piece. 

Please remember that what you are receiving is a handmade piece. It should last for many years if treated with proper respect. 

The usual care instructions are: 

  • wash by hands in not more than 40 degrees, using gentle washing liquid 
  • dry flat in a well ventilated room 
  • iron gently on medium heat, on the inside, facing the embroidery onto a soft towel (this protects the thread and minimises flattening the design)

Damaged package

If you discover that the package is damaged already when picked up at the post office, you must report this immediately to the delivery company. Feel free to use your mobile camera and take pictures of the package and send to us. If you first discover the transport damage when you return home, take the entire shipment including the packaging back to the post office, fill out a damage form – the postal staff will help you with the filling – and send the item together with the damage form back to us.

If the delivery took place via Helthjem and if the item has been damaged during transport, do the following:

  1. Take a picture of the item and the damaged packaging
  2. Send an e-mail to post@plantsonpeople.art  with:
  • Information about the damage
  • The pictures of product and packaging
  • Order number
  • Article number of damaged products

Return and exchange of goods

There is nothing more important to us to see you happy with what you’ve received but if for some reason you’re not – please contact us at post@plantsonpeople.art

We will try to reach a mutually satisfying solution. 

Contact us within: 7 days of delivery

Dispatch items back within: 14 days of delivery.

Shipping costs are not refundable. Cost of shipment for returning items is to be covered by the Buyer. 

If the order has been customised in any way (individual design, added name or extra tag) returns can not be made and orders may not be canceled once the work has been done. Items on sale will not be accepted as returns.

We follow the right of withdrawal law which gives you a 14-day unconditional right of withdrawal on all products you buy from us. We appreciate if the original packaging is not broken, but if you have to open it, please treat the packaging carefully – then we have the opportunity to sell the product later.

Quoted from the Right of Withdrawal Act §13.5 – Compensation for reduced value of the item:

“In order to be able to decide whether the right of withdrawal is to be used, the consumer is given a right to examine or test the product without the right of withdrawal being lost, and without it affecting the financial settlement between the parties if the right of withdrawal is exercised. The product is limited, however. The consumer can only carry out the examinations necessary to determine the product’s nature, properties and function. The right to inspect the product can be compared to the examination that can be carried out if you buy goods in a store.”

We will refund the amount within 14 working days from the date we have received the item back from you.

Workshops cancelations & resignations 

In the case of the Seller cancelling the workshops, the Buyer has a right to ask for a refund. The Buyer is also given a possibility to join future workshops in the same formula and program and will be given 3 other possibilities within the next 12 months from the original date. If the proposed dates don’t fit the Buyer, they can claim their refund within 30 days. 

In the case that it is the Buyer who is resigning from their spot during workshops, following conditions apply:
– resignation until 7 days before the workshop – full amount is returned
– resignation until 5 days before the workshop – 50% amount is returned
– resignation less than 3 days before the workshop – contact me via e-mail and let’s find a solution for you to join future events.
If the Buyer is ill and can’t come the amount is kept for the next 12 months to be used on future events. 

The refund will be processed within 30 days.

Additional policies

Each item is one-of-a-kind and has individual characteristics. Making embroidery takes time and care. We strive for good quality as well as individual variations. Some listings are for unique items that may vary slightly from the photograph. We do our very best to provide you with the most beautiful, best quality work possible.

All designs, content, and photography are property of Plants on People and may not be used in any other form without our prior written consent.

Conflict resolution

We will make every effort to ensure that you are satisfied with our cooperation. However, if you have reservations about our cooperation, you can contact the Norwegian Consumer Authority for mediation.
